For the first time in many years, I am enjoying blooms in our garden. Usually, by now, the deer have decapitated all of our flowering perennials. But, this year a six foot, stucco wire and rebar fence is holding our huge populations of white-tail and mule deer at bay. The fence is, for the most part, hidden in the evergreens. Yes, we have tried a multitude of deer-off sprays, homemade and commercial, tricks, electricity and dogs. None have prevented deer damage.
Please enjoy the mid-June perfumes from our 2014 garden.
