Fruit and Vegetable Markets Around the World: China

Many of the vendors of fresh fruit and vegetables in China are mobile.
The produce is, indeed, fresh and inviting.

In Yangshuo, a small city on the Li River, vendors use poles to shoulder their produce from farm to market.  They are able to set up within seconds in prime marketing areas.

Even in Chungqing, a city of 28 million, there are mobile vendors.

Fresh produce is delivered by shoulder pole to cruise ships on the Yangtze River.

Mobile vendors in Suzhou, the Venice of the East, display tempting fruits and vegetables.

Interesting, too, are the vendors of freshly roasted nuts, the first in a Muslim market in Xian and the second in a relocated village on the Yangtze.
